I think you should consider mentioning some type of fire gel that can be purchased by the home owner or renter to help in fire protection. All your advice is quite reasonable about some of the concerns before, during and after a fire. Its amazing that people do not know that there are recent advances in fire protection beyond the typical fire extinguisher or Fire Sprinkler system that can be used at short notice that create fire breaks around the home and on the structures themselves before the fire descends on your home. The replacement costs of personal belongings are high and most likely even with great insurance... You will only recover a small percentage of your total loss. I have been educated quite a bit lately about a fire protection Gel called Fire Bloc at www.WildfireOptions.com that you can have handy to create a blanket of protection that you can apply shortly before the flames hit your home or have available for your local fire department to use. I was surprised to find that this Fire fighting gel will last five days, which means you have some time to prepare at the last minute. Its amazing stuff. Consider it as part of your real last minute insurance for your home.
